FAQ - Osmosis
QuestionWhat do I do if Osmosis does occur?
AnswerTake your boat to a professional who specialises in Osmosis treatment. He will take the following steps.
  1. Properly prepare the Gelcoat - This includes getting all of the antifouling paint off and removal of as much gelcoat as necessary to get the hull dry (i.e. the entire gelcoat or just small areas)
  2. Drying of the hull - This is the most critical step in the process. If you do not get the hull dry it will re-blister
  3. Application of International Gelshield® Plus system followed by Gelshield® 200 Epoxy Primer and then the antifouling
