| Answer | How do I paint my bronze propeller?
Any hard antifouling may be applied to bronze. We recommend two coats of Trilux. A coat of PA10 red oxide available in an aerosol can for convenience is recommended. To minimize adhesion problems, it is essential that the preparation of the bronze surface is thorough. The bronze should be thoroughly cleaned and abraded to bright metal before priming and the applying two coats of Trilux. Great care must be taken when abrading as excessive abrading can alter the profile of the propeller causing it to be out of balance. |
